pres akuffo addo brings hope to beposo commuity


His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana has promised to address the number of challenges faced by residents of Beposo traditional area of Sekyere Central District in Ashanti region.
The Paramount Chief of Beposo Nana Boama Kwabi IV during a visit paid on him by the President as part of his regional tour underscored pressing challenges faced by residents within the area which included poor road network affecting distant communities,lack of electricity supply to remote communities, dilapidated Aframso bridge among others.
Paramount among these challenges is the poor state of Aframso bridge which acording to Nana Boama Kwabi IV impedes the supply of farm produce from the area to several market centers.
Vehicles according to him access the road with difficulty during rainy season due to its state and that most farmers are unable to convey their farm produce to their various point of sale.
Beposo traditional area according to him contributes 40 percent of Ghana”s food production.
In an address made by President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo during the visit, he assured to factor the Aframso bridge in road projects awarded by government within the district project.
The reconstruction of the bridge he noted will be inclusive in the ongoing construction of bad roads within the district.
Issues related to the extension of electricity to communities that are out of touch with electric supply he promised will systematically be addressed under the rural electrification project adding that under this policy,government will ensure that all rural areas are given access to light.
NPP led government according President Akuffo Addo is committed towards ensuring that all campaign promises made are fulfilled just as the Free SHS policy.
According to him, detractors who doubted him on the workability of the free SHS policy are currently ashamed as they are witnessing a higher number of Ghanaian students benefiting from the implementation of the policy.
The fulfilment of his major campaign promises especially Free SHS and reduction in electricity tariffs he announced has brought much relive to several Ghanaians
He however commended the Paramount Chief for Beposo Nana Boamah Kwabi IV for his immense support towards the One-District-One- Factory and Planting for Food and Jobs policies.
Nana Boamah Kwabi IV is on record to have offered to government 4000 acres of land for 1D1F and 20,000 acres of land for Planting for Food and Jobs all within his area.
President Akuffo Addo’s visit to the Sekyere Central District fell on the second day of his visit to the region.
Prior to his visit to Beposo, he paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Nsuta Nana Adu Adjei Bonsafo III and from there visited the North American Farms at Nkujua Aframso, Rockland Farms at Ankamudua all within Sekyere Central District.
With him during the visit were Hon Alan Kyeremateng Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon Patricia Appiagyei Member of Parliament for Asokwa constituency, Ashanti regional minister Hon Simeon Osei, KMA Boss Hon Osei Assibey, Regional chairman for NPP Mr Antwi Bosiako among other government officials.

Shoot anyone who attacks you – DCE tells Police [Audio]

Asunafo South District Chief Executive, Osei Bonsu, has asked the police in the area to shoot down any civilian who attacks policemen. He was speaking at a durbar organised by the Omanhene of Kukuom, Osahene Nana Kwaku Attekyi II, to educate residents about the creation of the new Ahafo Region and its significance. The DCE asked residents to keep politics out of the creation of the new region, urging the police to gun down any recalcitrant characters who may attack them.
