60-year-old man stabs friend for preventing him from marrying his long time lover


Residents of Oboosi, a town near Twifo Praso in the Western region are still in shock following a brawl between two best friends which turned bloody.
60-year-old Opayin Donkor is said to have stabbed his friend Agya Kofi Fofie, 50 for preventing him from marrying his long time lover.
According to report, the suspect had presented GH₵350 and a bottle of schnapps to the family of his love whose name was given as Eno Akosua as bride price.
Bismarck Kofi Gyabah, a local report of Adehyie FM Bibiani said prior to the marriage ceremony, father of the bride demanded to see Opayin Donkor manhood before handing over his daughter.
He refused and blamed his friend Kofi Fofie for his predicament.
An argument then ensued between the two men when the suspect demanded his friend go take his bride price back from the woman’s family.
“Opayin Donkor claimed his friend Fofie introduced the woman to him so he will be the right person to go for the price price from the family” the reporter added.
But when Fofie refused, Opayin Donkor inflicted cutlass wounds on him as payback for wasting his money on a fruitless venture.
Kofi Fofie, the victim was rushed to the Twifo Praso government hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile, the suspect is in police custody assisting in investigations.

Bullet no longer manages Ebony

Ricky Nana Agyemang known in showbiz as Bullet has announced that he is no longer the manager of the late musician, Ebony Reigns. He has therefore, handed over the unreleased songs of the late dancehall artiste to her father, Nana Opoku Kwarteng. After the burial of Ebony, her father accused Bullet of unfair treatment with regards to proceeds from his late daughter’s memorial concert.
